Sree Vishnu and director Ram Abbaraju are teaming up again. The two previously worked together on Samajavaragamana, and after the success of that film, they are now returning with a new comedy entertainer titled Family Pack.
The film was announced on Vinayaka Chaturthi with a quirky title reveal and motion poster. It is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, and it marks Sree Vishnu’s first full-length feature with the production house. The makers are currently planning to bring the film to theatres during Sankranti 2027.
A Quirky First Look Hints at Family Chaos
The first-look poster gives a fairly good idea of the kind of madness Family Pack is going for. It has a retro, colorful look, with Sree Vishnu seen falling through the different levels of a multi-storey house while looking completely bewildered.
There are also currency notes flying around him, along with a suitcase and a calculator floating in the air. It certainly seems like money problems are going to have something to do with the story, although the family angle is just as important. VK Naresh, Abhirami and Sakshi Madholkar are shown watching Vishnu’s rather unfortunate fall from the different floors, which gives the poster a nice little glimpse of the ensemble comedy.
Sree Vishnu Reunites With VK Naresh
One of the familiar faces in the cast is VK Naresh, who is once again sharing the screen with Sree Vishnu after their work together in Samajavaragamana. Their combination was one of the enjoyable parts of that film, so bringing Naresh back for another comedy should give the new movie plenty of room for similar moments.
Sakshi Madholkar plays the female lead opposite Sree Vishnu. The rest of the supporting cast includes Abhirami, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Satya, Rohini, Annapurnamma and Geetha Singh. With that many comedy and character actors involved, Family Pack is clearly not going to be relying on just one or two people to carry the humor.
Writers and Technical Crew
Bhanu Bhogavarapu and Nandhu Savarigana, who have previously worked with Ram Abbaraju, are handling the story, screenplay and dialogues. Chaitan Bharadwaj is composing the music, while J. Yuvraj is the cinematographer.
For now, the actual story details are being kept fairly quiet, so the first-look poster is doing most of the talking. Still, the combination of a family setting, financial trouble and Sree Vishnu getting thrown around inside a house gives a pretty clear indication that the film is aiming for a broad, situational comedy.
Family Pack Targets Sankranti 2027
The makers are targeting the Sankranti 2027 holiday season for the theatrical release. Pre-production work has been completed, and principal photography is expected to move ahead soon.
With Sree Vishnu and Ram Abbaraju returning after Samajavaragamana, expectations will naturally be there, but Family Pack also seems to be going for a somewhat different setup. For now, the colorful first look and the unusually packed supporting cast are the main clues about what the film has in store.
