The young actress told Jimmy Fallon on his show that she was dead certain Eleven bought the farm. Yeah sure, the authors might have tried to muddy the waters a bit by adding some uncertainty to the show’s ending now that it’s wrapped up after five seasons & nine years after the first episode – but all in all her take is a pretty firm one though. “So what do I think?” she basically yelled out, “I think she’s dead, that’s my honest opinion!” Then she teased Fallon a bit, saying is that some kind of bold statement or what. She went on to say that Mike’s take on things – that his story is just & to help him move on from childhood, he needed to let go of things like that – is pretty much saying “I’m good with whatever I choose to believe”.

One of the most emotionally gut-wrenching scenes in the Stranger Things epilogue is when Eleven sacrifices herself to save the world from the potential fallout of her being captured by her army. But Mike, who plays the role of just one of the friends – Dustin’s mate, since you ask – has got a different take on things. In the last few minutes of the finale, he explains that their pal is actually still alive, with a montage of him heading off to a pretty idyllic spot with three waterfalls – the sanctuary that he’d vowed to take her to.

Variety asked Dustin, aka Gaten Matarazzo, what he thought the finale actually meant, and he had his own view on it & a firm request to keep it to himself. “I’m not trying to be a weirdo here, but I reckon it’s whatever version makes the most sense to you and still gives the show a decent ending. People can argue over it all day long, and that’s fine. Whatever you come away with is perfect – that’s my take on it anyway. And man. What a super divisive conclusion that has got everyone arguing on social media – I’m sure it’ll still be going strong months from now. And in any case, the bit from Sadie Sink above is pretty entertaining to read.

    By AravindJanuary 20, 20260

Unlike the hour-long epics typical of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms features notably concise episodes—none clocking in at 45 minutes or more, with only the opener surpassing 40 minutes.
